First they observed different stuctures of the world and how they're able to handle weight while also being some of the largest buildings in the world. Then they built towers using toothpicks and marshmallows, testing their designs with weights.
In this lesson, students learned about the engineering design process by creating vehicles powered by wind (breath) using simple household objects. The lesson started with an introduction to wind and how it's created. The moving on to how wind can be used for power and to create motion. From there, they designed their vehicles and tested them to see what did and didn't work, improving from what they learned.
