This fall we are exploring science concerning the human body. We kicked off this theme with a lesson on vision. Students explored the purpose of the principle parts of the human eye by: 1.) Testing their pupillary reflex 2.) Investigating the focusing properties of a gelatin analogue of a lens 3.) Identifying their blind spot 4.) Testing their depth perception After lesson notes: The gelatin lenses did not hold up in student's hands for very long. If this experiment is to be repeated, the lenses should be kept cold until handling or else made of something tougher
